I think that the Canon 55-250mm lens is priced perfectly and offers great value for money, especially if you are a newcomer to the photography world. Often the most affordable lenses that are lucrative to first time buyers because of their tight budgets only end up discouraging them from the hobby because of poor image quality. The Canon has no such problems as it produces outstanding snaps across its zoom range. I am talking bout tack sharp centers and borders here, which is quite an achievement. The lens is also pretty sturdy for something that is made almost entirely out of plastic but sine it is very light I won’t complain too much about the material. If you do a lot of shooting in low light then this is probably not the lens for you but in other situations it is a winner. Portrait photos come out especially good, which makes it a popular choice for wedding photographers.
